Hypnobirthing

What is Hypnobirthing?

In today’s world, the picture of a woman screaming, lying on her back with panicked doctors and nurses has become the classic stress and fear-inducing scene. Your feeling of being afraid to birth is completely normal, and you are certainly not alone.

However, birth does not have to be this way. These ideas have been embedded in our subconscious mind for ages, and when we find out we are pregnant we automatically revert to the fearfulness of giving birth.

Hypnobirthing can help us let go of those fears and introduce a more positive image and idea through a process of learning and reprogramming.

When we are relaxed, we let go of the fear and tension and allow our bodies to do what they were designed to do when birthing. This way when the time comes for you to birth your baby, your mind will remain serene as you will have a more positive belief system about birth.

The goal of hypnobirthing is to reframe our perception of birth through the use of breathing techniques, affirmations, meditations, and education. This approach can help to reduce pain allowing the birthing person to feel calm and confident instead of holding on to that fear during the birthing process.
